Family and Children Services – Central Office

The building was designed to “bring the outside in.” A two-story, concave glass wall offers natural lighting to both the main and second floor lobbies while providing a welcoming main entrance. Corridors are lined with faux “house fronts” each with colorful planter boxes and artificial flowers at office windows. The lobby, which boasts a clear view from the front entrance to the rear entrance, is complete with a grand stair, central reception desk, fun finishes, and curving soffit profiles adding to the comforting, child-friendly atmosphere Family & Children’s Services strives for. Also included in the project is a uniquely created child play area, group rooms, a large workroom, and a meeting hall. Finish materials were selected to minimize VOC emissions.
